Minister Plenipotentiary of the UAE to China Abdullah al-Nuaimin introduced the UAE's carbon emission reduction targets in the construction sector, as well as the prospects of cooperation between China and Arab countries in the field of building materials, hoping that the two sides will continue to promote carbon emission reduction and sustainable development in the future and share the fruits of green development.

Du Xuesh, Director of the U.S. Department of Energy's China Office and Energy Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, shared the work and experience of the U.S. Department of Energy in promoting the research and application of carbon reduction technologies. Claude Lorea, Director of Innovation at the Global Cement and Concrete Association, shared the GCCA's Carbon Neutral Concrete Roadmap to 2050, described the GCCA's initiatives to promote low-carbon concrete technology innovation, and explained the EU carbon tariffs and related incentives for the production of carbon neutral concrete.
